Gayle Bulls Dixon

It is with profound sadness that I share the news that Gayle Dixon passed away in August. I only learned of it today, and I wanted to be sure everyone was aware.

Gayle was an amazing, dynamic person and a great friend. I know many of you shared wonderful times with her at HBSI and through the years.

There will be a private celebration of life in Jacksonville, Florida on October 30th.

Our thoughts are with her family and all who loved her.

Condolences on Heavenly Abode of Gayle. We pray to God to give her family strength to bear this irreparable loss. She was gem of a person and so much committed to make sure we as opm 39 are bonded. Really a big loss and gone too soon.

This is quite sad and unexpected. We were in the same living group in our first year and she was easily the glue that held the group together. Ever so resourceful and willing to help. May her kind soul continue to rest in peace 🙏

I'm in total shock. I loved Gayle's energy, enthusiasm & incredible zest for life. She was such a wonderful presence in our group — I'd always look for her at an OPM gathering & make sure I was on her table. She was a weapon! I will miss Gayle dearly 😢

When she was in Bay Area, we used to meet in the city over dinners many times. She was a wonderful person, very soft hearted and always willing to help needy. She worked hard for OPM house for a US military veteran family, collected 10s of thousands of dollars to make that a reality. Also, during COVID, she generously donated.

Dear friends, I'm heartbroken to read this. Gayle was in my very first group of eight at HBS, and some of my fondest memories of OPM are of those early days with her. She had a way of making you feel welcome from the very first moment, like you'd known her for years.

She was warm, generous and full of life, and she cared deeply about all of us. As our class secretary she quietly kept OPM 39 together all these years, and the way she raised funds for the veteran family's OPM house shows the kind of heart she had. So many of the messages here say it so well: she really was a ray of sunshine.

I'm so grateful our paths crossed. My deepest condolences and prayers go to Cameron and all her family. Rest in peace, dear Gayle. You'll be missed more than words can say. 🙏🌷
